Hidden on one of Rome’s most elegant streets lies one of its most haunting sites — the Capuchin Crypts. On this chilling and unforgettable walking tour, you’ll begin where life and death intertwine: in chapels decorated entirely with human bones. Over 3,500 skeletons line the walls in silent, sacred patterns — a macabre meditation on mortality, faith, and time.
Led by our expert storytelling guides, this tour takes you far beyond the crypts. As night falls, you’ll explore the historic heart of Rome, where shadows cling to ancient alleyways and every cobblestone has a secret to whisper.
From eerie legends near the Trevi Fountain to the tragic tale of a noblewoman said to leave ghostly handprints behind, you’ll discover stories that mix history, horror, and a touch of the supernatural. You’ll even pass the Pantheon, where a grisly tale of revenge may have inspired the legend of Sweeney Todd.
This isn’t a simple sightseeing tour — it’s an immersive walk through the Eternal City’s darker side, blending true history, myth, and morbid beauty in a way you’ll never forget.
We don’t just show you the Capuchin Crypts — we bring them to life (figuratively, of course).
