Hailing from the misty hills of Cumbria in the north of England, Ben arrived in Rome in 2011 and never quite left – possibly because he found enough gruesome stories here to last several lifetimes. With a Masters Degree in Ancient History and a childhood obsession with Horrible Histories, he was destined to spend his days talking about murder, mayhem, and mildly cursed emperors. Expect dry British humour, suspicious amounts of historical detail, and the occasional ghost with trust issues.
